Why We’re Walking
I am walking to honor my brother, Geoff Hathaway, who continues to inspire everyone around him with his incredible determination to get better. Sixteen years ago Geoff survived a severe stroke. Ever since, he has worked tirelessly to regain strength and improve his communication skills. Every day he commits himself to therapy and exercise, always pushing to walk a little farther, speak a little more clearly, learn a little more. Despite the challenges he faces, Geoff never stops looking for ways to support and uplift others around him. He is my idea of a hero in our community.
Join our Strides for Stroke team in the fight against the long-term impact of stroke. We’re a community of incredible individuals united in a shared mission to support the Minnesota Stroke Association. Stroke affects everyone differently, touching the lives of those who experience it, their families, and everyone they meet. By rallying our family, friends, and supporters from all across Minnesota, we demonstrate the wide-reaching impact of stroke and the strength found in our unity.
