Why We’re Walking
We’re walking to celebrate my dad, Russ, and all the remarkable achievements he’s made since his stroke. Despite the challenges, he’s shown incredible perseverance and determination. We couldn’t be more proud of him!!!
Join our Strides for Stroke team in the fight against the long-term impact of stroke. We’re a community of incredible individuals united in a shared mission to support the Minnesota Stroke Association. Stroke affects everyone differently, touching the lives of those who experience it, their families, and everyone they meet. By rallying our family, friends, and supporters from all across Minnesota, we demonstrate the wide-reaching impact of stroke and the strength found in our unity.

Join Us!
Or, join us at the event! Strides for Stroke is more than fundraising; it’s a statement of hope, solidarity, and commitment to change within Minnesota and beyond. Your financial support is vital in achieving our vision of a community united against stroke, but your presence at the event would really boost everyone’s spirits. So, if you can, join us at one of the three locations. Together, we’re not just making strides; we’re making a difference.

Why I’m Walking
I am walking to support others that have had a stroke and hoping that they are as lucky as I have been. With all of the support from my family and friends and everyone involved in the Mn Stroke Association. – Russ Cardinal
To honor my husband Russ who survived a stroke with his positive attitude and hard work. Russ had his stroke in June of 2009. We are so blessed to be surrounded by a village of family and friends that keep coming to the walk every year. I am walking for all of the stroke survivors and the caregivers that support them daily. – Sue Cardinal
